The Pond
A portrait from one of my many fishing adventure on the pond, in the early morning the bass would be very active,
the steam off the warm water , the cool spring and summer mornings, the bass feeding on dragon flies ,water spiders and minnows in the shallow areas along the pond shore . I was a young man in these days and I enjoyed fishing many farm ponds most held big bass and many large panfish. I would throw surface flies and small surface plugs with my fly rod along the Lilly pads ,weed beds and stomp . I had many good days fishing these farm ponds as a young man the memories are still fresh in my mind.
